Inventor Workstations

From parametric modeling to automation, AutoDesk Inventor offers a wealth of options for CAD designers - but only if their hardware is supported and optimized for the task.

Performance Optimized

Our AutoDesk Inventor workstations are optimized for single and multi threaded workflows to maximize performance without wasted resources. You won’t find a more powerful computer for AutoDesk Inventor.

Expert Build Quality

Every PC we create is hand-crafted by expert hands using only premium grade parts. The end result is a faster, more reliable PC that helps you get more done.

25 Years Experience

We’ve been building award winning workstations for professional workflows since 1997. It's that legacy that we continue to bring to every workstation PC we create today.

Modeling and Design

ProMagix™ HD60

Inventor for 2D design and modeling is frequency bound, meaning the core speed of the processor is more important to overall performance than core count. For this reason, we recommend our ProMagix HD60 which offers clock speeds up to 5.3GHz to make the most of your productivity with a workflow focused mainly on 2D.

Rendering

ProMagix™ HD150

Using Inventor for rendering 3D objects or creating complex simulations is more compute heavy and does utilize the multi-threading of today’s processors. For heavy rendering you may find our HD150 to be best suited for your needs.

Autodesk Inventor FAQ

How many CPU cores do I need?

For most users mainly using Inventor for modeling or design, the ideal configuration is a high CPU core frequency with fewer CPU cores. If you have a workflow heavy on 3D rendering though, you will see some benefit from 10+ core CPUs.

Does Inventor need Xeon processors?

Intel Xeon processors are great for highly threaded applications or those that require ECC RAM, but for Inventor, Core i7 or i9 are a much better value and typically will perform better overall.

Quadro or Geforce graphics?

That answer depends on your specific workflow. For most Inventor users, Geforce cards are a better value because of their GDDR6 vRAM and higher GPU frequency. Some power users may find they need the extra performance that upper tier Quadros can offer. Check out this blog post for more details, but Geforce is likely the best choice here.

Does Inventor use Ray Tracing?

Inventor does use a process called Ray Tracing to accurately depict the effects of shadow and light, creating photorealistic renderings using most engines. For that reason, we recommend an RTX series GPU to take advantage of that capability.
