Solid Edge Workstations

Custom Workstation PCs designed for product development and design using Solid Edge software.

Performance Optimized

Our Solid Edge workstations are specifically designed for high demand, CPU intensive workflows to maximize performance without wasted resources. You won’t find a faster PC for Solid Edge anywhere else.

Expert Build Quality

Every Solid Edge workstation we create is meticulously crafted by expert hands using only premium grade parts. The end result is a faster, more reliable PC that helps you get more done.

25 Years Experience

We’ve been building award winning workstations for professional workflows since 1997. It's that legacy that we continue to bring to every workstation PC we create today.

Modeling

ProMagix™ HD60

Solid Edge for 2D design and modeling is frequency bound, meaning the core speed of the processor is more important to overall performance than core count. For this reason, we recommend our ProMagix HD60 with clock speeds up to 5.3GHz to maximize your productivity.

Rendering

ProMagix™ HD150

Using Solid Edge for rendering 3D objects or creating complex simulations is more compute heavy and can utilize the multi-threading of today’s modern processors. Though the HD60 can be configured with up to 16 physical cores and 32 threads, for heavy rendering you may find our HD150 to be better suited.

Solid Edge FAQ

How many CPU cores do I need?

For most users mainly using Solid Edge for modeling, the ideal configuration is a high CPU core frequency with fewer CPU cores. If you have a workflow heavy on 3D rendering though, you will see some benefit from 10+ core CPUs. Not all user workflows are the same, so be sure and contact us for an optimized configuration.

Does Solid Edge require Xeon processors?

Intel Xeon processors are great for highly threaded applications or those that require ECC RAM, but for Solid Edge, Core i7 or i9 are a much better value and typically will perform better overall.

Quadro or Geforce graphics – which is best?

That answer depends on your specific workflow. For most Solid Edge users, Geforce cards are a better value because of their GDDR6 vRAM and higher GPU frequency. Some power users may find they need the extra performance that upper tier Quadros can offer. Check out this blog post for more details, but Quadro is likely the best choice here.

Does Solid Edge use Ray Tracing?

Solid Edge does utilize Ray Tracing when using Keyshot as a rendering engine. For that reason, we recommend an RTX series GPU to unlock that capability.
