Enterprise-Level Availability
Smart Ride Through (SmaRT)
SmaRT is a proprietary power management system developed by Gigabyte for enterprise grade servers to prevent downtime. During a power loss even, SmaRT throttles the system while maintaining availability to reduce power load. PSU capacitors supply the 10-20ms of power needed to transition to backup and maintain operation.
Dual ROM Architecture
A backup BIOS and BMC keep you operational. If the ROM that stores the BMC and BIOS ever fails to boot, the system will reboot with the backup BMC and/or BIOS replacing the primary. Once the primary BMC is updated, the ROM of the backup BMC will automatically update the backup through synchronization.
Efficient Power
The G480 is enabled with Automatic Fan Speed Control to achieve the optimal cooling and power efficiency. Individual fan speeds will be automatically adjusted according to temperature sensors strategically placed within the box for maximum cooling and minimal noise.
Secure Hardware
With an optional TPM 2.0 Module, passwords, encryption keys, and digital certificates are stored discretely to prevent unwanted users from gaining access to that data. TPM modules are available in either a Serial Peripheral Interface or Low Pin Count bus.
